A Film Update!

Recently with school I’ve been shooting a lot of film. It’s made me realize how much I missed film over the past year or so and how much fun it really is. The process of bulk loading, shooting, developing and printing is always exciting and slightly scary. If you mess up one of the smallest steps, all of your time and effort can go to waste. Luckily this hasn’t happened to me yet this year knock on wood. The other day I made an effort to go out to Lonsdale Quay and shoot what I thought the Quay stands for. To me the Quay stands for; Industry, Food and people. Here’s what I came up with:

That’s all for now.

Winter Holidays

Hi Everyone,

Haven’t posted here in awhile. Here’s what I’ve been up to.

I got some new gear for Christmas including 2 speedlites and a 50mm 1.8. I’m stoked on all of it and have some new shots to show you all. I was in Calgary and Parksville for most of the time. Without further ado, everything is on flickr as per usual.

I really hope you’re looking at these :)

Fisheye!

So the other day I borrowed my buddies fisheye from him, so thanks to him for that! I was testing it out to make sure I liked it on my body (40D) and have come to the conclusion that I love it. Hopefully it will be added to my lens selection in the near future :)

Here’s a shot from the testing

NS Photo Contest Week 11

I don’t feel like writing much right now so here it is. Shot this for NS photo contest Week 11. The topic was lighting without flash. I used 2 bedside lamps, that’s about it. Without further ado.

It’s also available on my flickr.

Noodles in a Cup!

Today I went up Whistler with James Fraser Anderson and Jordan Johnstone. It was a good time, snow was okay and big park had a few jumps. Also a fairly enjoyable rail line in the reg park.

Claiming an hour from Whistler to Horseshoe bay in inclement weather and visibility conditions. Bam!

James’ noodle cups

Blah

Went to the Sutherland after formal last night. It was a good time! Not such a great time this morning though, waking up at 7am. Nothing a little bit of Moodyvilles couldn’t fix!

I was lovin’ the morning for some reason, the weather was super weird. Gotta love the late fall/early winter.

I’m off to bed now, soo beat.

What I’ve been up to

Feels like it’s been ages since I’ve posted here. Lately I’ve been really busy with school and the mountains have opened so I haven’t had much time to work on this.

I’ve been working on a hard edge painting for a school class. Here’s what it looked like as of yesterday. Lots more is done today.

I’ve also been taking an after hours figure drawing course on Tuesday evenings. Here’s just a look at what that’s like.

So that’s pretty much what I’ve been doing lately, I haven’t really done much in the way of shooting. Hopefully I’ll get out there soon and get some new content for anyone who follows!

Thanks for reading.

Remembrance Day

Lest we forget.

Let us remember all of those who have fought and risked their lives for us.

Here is a little photo overlay/design project that I made for a school project with the theme of Remembrance.
